I hope I will be able to get her soon. I'm going to try to catch her the Wednesday after next. She got spooked last time because she saw her mother and brother caught in the traps. I hope she will have forgotten by now.

Posts: 23 Jul 5, 2009 11:05:05 Littermate	I do worry about Cinder. He's still just a kitten, if he's still alive. He was eating solid food and was 3 lbs but still nursed from his mother sometimes. He was a big mama's boy too, so I wonder why he's not following his mother and sister around anymore. I'm going to try to catch Smokey tomorrow because I found out the SNAP clinic is open on Tuesday. There's some good news and bad news. When I caught Whitenose she was lactating, so we had to let her go early. We didn't know if her babies survived her being away or not. The good news is they did survive, and of course, the bad news is that there are three more ferals to catch if they continue to survive. I want them to be healthy but it's more work. Also my dad is the one with the van who is helping me to drive to the clinic, but he gives me HELL about it every step of the way. He is making something that should be simple about 100x harder than it needs to be. I really need to get my own van. It really sucks because he drags me down so bad when I know I'm trying to do the right thing.

Posts: 5104 Jul 15, 2009 01:51:45 FF&F Staff Administrator Jo Down Under in Ozland	Well let me tell you you have done a wonderful job,your dad is like a lot of people,I remember when I was much younger with no car,begging for a ride from people with no understanding of what I was trying to do ,so I very much understand how it is for you,but no one here has anything but respect for you,and bottom line your dad is still doing it for you even with no empathy with what you are going thru,think he must care for you. Posts: 3927 Jul 15, 2009 11:27:16 FF&F Staff Moderator Kim	Ah yes, when I first got into TNR I had no car either, and had to find people to drive me to the clinic. Luckily no one gave me a hard time about it, but it was a pain trying to coordinate that along with everything else that had to be organized for a successful TNR. Anyway, you're doing great - don't get discouraged! I'll keep Cinder in my thoughts.
