HELP - it's not working!!!!!!! |

I am having a problem with my Kashmir - she is an 11 year old cat and she is soooooo upset that Sadie is in our home now. She has always been a sort of anti
social cat! Sadie is in her cat carrier except for feeding and playtime. Kashmir won't come out of the bedroom and when we showed her Sadie she hissed at
her but looked afraid. I love my Kashmir and don't want her to be so upset. Any ideas? Is this normal? Will they ever like each other? My dog Dakota and
Sadie are great - he licks her and she plays with his paws. But I am very worried about Kashmir.

It sounds pretty normal to me. I'd leave Sadie out, and about, and over time she and Kashmir will figure things out. They may never LOVE each other, and
lay together & groom each other BUT they will work things out, each figuring their 'place' and hopefully learn to live peacefully.

Totally normal, time is the best solution, will they be friends, that's hard to tell,at 11 Kashmir will want to be the leader,so if Sadie can mind her manners
things will go better, faster, make lots of fuss of Kashmir and ignore Sadie when you are in the room with both, don't worry Sadie as a hand reared babe will
not worry,(they think they are the center of the Universe lol)

Thank you all again!! SOOOOOOO MUCH! Kashmir hasn't pooped in two days now and has me a wreck - she is so stubborn. We'll just hope and pray these two
get along and yes Sadie does think the world revolves around her and so does Kashmir - it does doesn't it?

I've been very upset because my Kashmir who is 12 years old is having a very hard time accepting Sadie. She's been acting so strange - was constipated
but is now fine, picky eating. I've been giving her lots of extra attention and she is coming around. But it breaks my heart and I can't give up Sadie
- if my daughter holds Sadie and I hold Kashmir about 1 or 2 feet apart - she stares at her or just looks away, then hisses at Sadie. But then she acts like
she is afraid to come out even though Sadie is in her cat cage most of the time. Will Kashmir ever be her old self again?

This kind of thing can take time - I would try and not worry about them, easier said than done sometimes ... but I promise they will work it out. They may
never be the best of friends but they will work out something. Hang in there!!! Your a great furmom!

They are actually being quite normal, and yes it is ok for me to say that as I as a cat carer see this all the time, but this is very early times yet, normally
when you just think it will never happen it settles and you wonder why you ever worried.

Thank you once again my friends! We got some more poop today!! Kashmir is eating but not like usual - I think she is very upset about this new 'thing'
she senses!! At least this morning she came out meowing as she usually does to eat when I get up. Now she is in bed with my daughter. Doesn't help that
there are storms out there. Praying she gets all better and is my Kashmir again.
