I purchased a finger brush and cat gel from the vet, but Beacon won't let me get near his teeth unless he's chomping down on my hand while we're playing and even then, if I come at him with a little dental gel on the other finger, he knows and will not let me get into his mouth. This morning, I tried putting a little dental gel on one of his paws and he licked it off slowly, but I don't know if that's such a good idea. I'm cutting down his wet food to 1/2 can in the morning and in the evening (draining as much of the gravy as I can), then feeding him dental treats after both meals. He always has a good supply of dry food which he likes, so I'm good there. Any other suggestions out there? Thanks!! Last Edited By: jaylphx Mar 23, 2009 23:13:54. Edited 2 times.

I can massage their gums with the little finger brushes made for pets, though. I use a gel that I get from my vets.
