I was just wondering how toxic chocolate is to cats? I have a 12yr old male cat who is the light of my life. Being that I love chocolate, and that I am so protective of my baby, I make a concious effort to make sure I don't leave anything with chocolate on it laying around for him to get into. However, on the off chance that I should accidenally forget due to being TBI (traumatic brain injured and am forgetful at times) I need to know just how toxic it is to cats and say he just licks the reminants of ice cream that has choc. in it out of a bowl, how much damage would that do? I only want to make sure that my cat is safe. If anyone could explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank-you.
