A couple of weeks ago my cat got in a fight and part of his tail was hurt. I kept some antibiotic on it and it seemed to heal ok but about a week and a
half ago he got really sick again, lethargic, not eating, kind of dragging his bottom/back legs... took him to the vet and he had an abcess on his tail that
they had to drain. While they had him overnight, they also neutered him. Took him home the next day and he was kind of lethargic still. A few days later he
started vomiting. Took him back to the vet last friday and they kept him all weekend on an iv, they said he was dehydrated. I picked him up yesterday and
brought him home (by the way, he came home from the vet with earmites, which i am treating now too).... tonight he started throwing up again... agh... what
do i do for this kitty??? what can be causing him to vomit sporadically? he still doesn't seem to have much of an appetite and spent most of the day
asleep.... also over the last couple of weeks, he has had some periods of time where he just growls and hisses and he will hide under things and not come out
and he has always been a very lovey sweet cat... any advice would be helpful... thanks

Welcome to the forums,Your poor kitty has been in the wars fir sure, I think the reason your
boy(what his name) was hissing at you and growling is because he has been in a war with other unaltered males in the area, you are the only one he can vent at
and that tail injury didn't help, The vomiting could be the antibotics he has been taking, combined with earmites and treatment, earmites take a few weeks
to get to bad numbers, many cats have then in tiny numbers that cause little problems, when a cat is under stress like your cat has been the numbers multiply out
of control, like the parastics they are.How old is your kitty? did the vet give a reason for his dehydration? We are all different, males are often softer then
they let on,a has happened to him, really urge you to go back to your vet, he should be getting better, ever slowly, not back wards, please keep us updated.
