What a cutie little Moomoo is! I love his markings.
PP&I has no FeLV facility, plus we are in Louisiana. Our Moderators for this board are scattered worldwide - Australia, England, Alabama, California, Florida, and Ohio. Have you tried contacting the local humane society, animal shelter, SPCA, or cat rescue groups in your area for fostering? Have you tried CatsMeow? The girl I emailed back and forth with for some time over a lost cat was a foster parent for several handicapped cats. I'm so sorry that I can't be of more help. Cats, like most animals, form a bond with their people, and to lose both parents can be extremely traumatic. I wish you the very best in finding him a temporary home until you're on your feet and can take care of himself. Enjoy the forums and keep us updated on Moomoo.

Welcome to FF&F! I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. Suse has given some great places to check. I wish you and your kitty well. My daughter
just had a similar situation and we ended up taking her cat for her....looks amazingly like your baby! Best of luck.

Good news is i am keeping the house so i am also keeping the MooMoo! I just kept thinking about the momma w/4 brand new babies i turned over to the humane
society (crying all the way ....me that is), not knowing what was to become of them....it broke my heart watching how the momma cat was yanked out of the
carrier and seperated from her young (they wouldnt tell me how long for). I just knew that if i did that with my boy he would be euthanized for sure. i almost
snatched momma and babies back but knew that i dont have the resources for a new momma with 4 newborns. AZ has only 1 rescue Org called Halo and they are
soooo overwhelmed that they asked me if i wanted to foster other Felv cats. That is how bad Our Area is. I cant even afford to get my boy fixed right now. i
cant find low cost/free fixes in my area. That is one of the reasons why i cant foster/adopt like i want to. because my moomoo is AGGRESSIVE! the vet said
that will calm down when he gets fixed. we will see.
Thank you all for the words of encouragement and ideas. Becca and Moo |

Awesome news, Becca! I'm so happy that you can keep your little Moo.
There are seven Arizona non-profit orgs listed here: http://aspin.asu.edu/rescue/cats.html I don't know if CatsMeow is non-profit or not, but they place many, many cats: http://cats-meow.org/ If you need additional assistance, I would contact some of these AZ folks.
Besides calming Moo down, neutering has many health benefits for both cats and dogs. Here are some of the benefits: http://www.sniksnak.com/benefits.html Hope to hear much more about your sweet Moo. Please do keep us updated on your situation. We truly love to discuss our pets and share pictures. I hope your personal situation continues to improve, too!

Glad things worked out so that you can keep Moomoo. Definitely get him neutered as soon as you can afford it, it will calm him down. In the meantime, I'm
sure you are keeping him indoors so that he doesn't find a girl cat before he's neutered. Looking forward to hearing more Moomoo tales.
