A few general questions.....I have read alot today, and am confused on a few issues...surprised?
Didn't think so!
I have read that scratching for cats, is like breathing for humans. I feel I have gone out of my way to get Rumely what she needs to accomplish this, and not tear up my home in doing it. Stray cat enters and Paul builds a really nice sratch post like the one for Rumely, and stray cat lays on it. He hasn't scratched up the wood in the room, the towels, the anything. Actually, I have come in the room, as he wakes up, and he is just so willing to just lay in my lap.I have spent time in the room, and he still makes no effort, nor shows an interest in scratching. I have not seem him once, in the garage, or in the hosue, try to scratch at all....is that weird or what? Is it normal?
Next..Rumely purrs when she is really comfy..other than that it is far and few between and also very hard to hear it at all. Stray cat purrs all the time, loud.
I have read that purring can mean many things, such as fear or being unsure, but mainly it's a hello to the person, and a nice compliment. Can he be saying something else and I am misreading this as comfort?
I am so surprised at how layed back he is.
Thanks in advance

So don't worry about them. It sounds to me that his true colors seem very
confident and pleased with what he's accomplished in finding this new pad
