When I was seven, a litter of Egyptian Mau kittens was found in a dumpster outside Vons. My aunt adopted them out to people, and my mother and I took the runt
of the litter. Cleo, that runt kitten, grew into a gorgeous, independent, amazing cat and is now fourteen years old.
About four years ago, Cleo started to develop a black, crusty rash-like growth on her head, between her right eye and ear. We wondered about it, but assumed it was age spots. At that point Cleo had been indoor-only for about five years and we assumed she couldn't have caught anything from anyone. About a year later, after I had moved out, I returned to see the growth had gotten bigger, and she had another small, black, crusty growth on the back of her neck. My mom finally took her to the vet, who basically just said they had no idea what it was, but that it wasn't a big deal.
Another year later, the growth was still growing. My mom took her to another vet, who tested Cleo's blood and found everything to be normal. They really didn't offer any suggestions as to what the growth might be, and it is still growing. Another patch is growing on her stomach, and the one on her head is standing about two centimeters up from the surface of her skin. At this point I am really frustrated because I just want to do something for my cat. She is fourteen years old and my baby, and I don't want her having to deal with disgusting skin growths that keep spreading. I keep researching feline skin conditions online, but it's hard to find a diagnosis because I'm not finding very many photos to compare with. Any help would be appreciated.

Dayna, My first thought was fleas but two vets could not miss that, dogs get strange warts
,but cats I have not seen this myself,I can certainly understand your worry ,is Cleo otherwise well? Have either vet suggested a biopsy ? Keep checking here as
some else may have had something similar.
