I'm just wondering if she would be considered a senior now - I haven't seen her in a couple of years so I don't know how she is now.

She would be considered a senior now, Mimi.
Certain breeds, mixed breeds, and smaller dogs tend to live longer. Small breeds (less than 20 pounds) are considered seniors at around 12 years, medium ones (50 pounds) at 10, and larger breeds, like Danes and Labs, at 8 or 9. |

My lab was in great shape at 9. He lived to be just under 13 years old.
I also am looking forward to hearing about him. I love dogs!!! |

I've got 2 that are 12 years old. One still acts like a puppy at play, the other has slowed down considerably with joint pain. Definitely seniors, but
different in their aging. Looking forward to hearing more about yours.

Her name's Kali, she's a Yellow Lab... I'll be picking her up tonight
my ex had her all these years, but can't keep her any more as his new baby is allergic I know he has her on Wysong Synorgen, I was wondering why he doesn't already have her on senior food and he said she hasn't slowed down at all, so I guess I'll just have to see I'll have to see also how she gets along with the cats, I know she's been around cats before and seems fine around them in general and mine are pretty easy going I was thinking I should crate her or something for the first while until I can see how she gets along with the cats, maybe put in her in a bedroom while we're at work I figure the whole the weekend gives me time though to see how everyone gets along

Best of luck, Mimi! Thanks for taking her instead of the other alternatives that might have come about if not for you! Looking forward to hearing how Kali is
doing. She will know she's loved and I'm sure she will be fine after the initial adjustment.
