Ten days ago our Fluke was helped over to the Bridge, after having
stomach cancer for 14 months, losing 7 kg and then suffering a mild stroke that morning we knew it was time. Fluke came into Glenn's life as he was sitting
on a train station and having a talk with a old school mate Jeff, when Jeff said look a that poor dog Glenn did not take him seriously as Jeff has a mental
problem and at the time was having talks with the then PM Paul Keating and Hulk Hogan in his mind, only after Jeff said Glenn the dog is real come have a look
,did Glenn see a black kelpie cross who was unable to stand and was having breathing problems, after that a fast trip to a lovely local vet was undertaken,it
took 4 weeks for (Fluke as he was how know,as it was a fluke he was noticed in time) to recover,Glenn visited him daily and the vet desexed and vaccinated him
and said no one has claimed him,he is yours, she would not even take any money for his treatment. That was in 1994,when Glenn and I married in 1996 Fluke stayed
with Glenn's mother until she was too sick to care for him and he came to us.Three words sum up Fluke, they are Loyal,Tough and Proud, though his illness, few
animals that I have know have shown the will power and bravery to carry on after his cancer op as he did,in which his spleen was removed or his ability to
carry himself at all times with dignity. Fluke you will never be forgotten, play with Sandy and Gabby while you wait at the Bridge for us.![]()
