Posts: 265 Mar 21, 2004 23:52:20 Bigtime Critter Lover	Tags : None hi... 2 2 2 now that it close to time to get the test for my boy... i was wanting to understand it better- what exactly is it and how is it done? how long will i wait for results? how is it different from the snap test? any info i am thankful for. thanks

IFA (Immuno-Flourescent Antibody aka Western Blot aka Immunoflourescent Assay aka Hardy Test) is normally given to kittens who come up positive after 16 weeks old (before that age, the test will NOT be accurate). This is given when a second positive appears. If this test (the IFA) is positive, too, then the kitten has FeLV. Here's the thread: pub106.ezboard.com/ffabul...ic&index=8
