We have to remember that just as fashions change with time, the cat fancy, like the breeds themselves, is constantly changing. However, those who have web sites need to constantly update their information so that people aren't misinformed. As we state over and over on this board, education is the key to awareness.

I think what some of these sites are doing is using old theories that were being passed around years ago. Back when the Bengal breed was first introduced, it was hoped that breeding the Asian Leopard Cat to a domesticated cat would strengthen the immune system in the domesticated cat. Sadly, that theory was never proven because, as I first mentioned in this thread, even the domesticated cats' descendants is the wild cat.
