The first kitten of 2008 has arrived at my house, along with his mama. Check out the tip of his tail!

I got a call last night from a fellow volunteer who was working on this situation... a kid found a dead kitten in the yard, told his mom, they found the mom
cat moving another kitten around and took it from her to give to a neighbor to try to feed (assuming that the mom had killed/neglected the first kitten).
Well, that kitten died - who knows if if it was related to congenital...

Nope, he doesn't seem to be cross-eyed. Not sure what the issue was. He had one little "psychotic episode" at about 4 weeks old when he
startled awake from a nap and turned into a very scary creature - screaming, hissing, and puffing at me. I was afraid to grab him, all 1 pound of him! He
settled down and never did it again since. Bad dream? He's very active and moves very quickly all over the place! He was pre-adopted this week and goes
home next weekend. Flash is...

I realize I never mentioned that the "white" kitten ended up being a flame-point Siamese. His points came in faintly around 3 weeks and he's
been steadily darker since. And absolutely no neurological / balance issues anymore.

The boys are now 7 weeks and 6 weeks respectively. Mom decided she was about done last week. They both eat solid food like champs and use the litterbox like

Baby update!

The white kitten is "Truckee" (snowy mountain town near Lake Tahoe) and his eyes opened yesterday! So he's a few days older than I was told,
and that makes sense with his size.

He is a very hearty little guy, loves to fight with his milk brother. He likes me already -when I walk into their room he stumbles over to me falling on his
right side the whole way and scrambling right back up. He's fat and has a wicked purr. Left alone to his...

After a quiet night, mom woke me up howling at 5am... she was tearing her cage apart trying to get out and the babies were floundering and fussing. I let her
out into the closet and she demanded all kinds of attention for me. I let her sit on my lap and tried to let the babies nurse on her there, but she made it
hard for them, twisting all around and saying "Pay attention to meeee! Meeee!"...

The plot thickens....

Tonight I got an offer of a new foster home willing to take mom and baby IF a second baby could join in - a 2 day old motherless kitten (probably kidnapped
too, circumstances are yet unknown). I was hesitant to send the crew off to someone whose experience I can't verify, so I decided to try the group out
here first and possibly send them along in a few days if all goes well.

I have never actually combined litters before - I'm so...
