This may be a first...


A couple in Northern California were out riding on the range, he with his rifle and she (fortunately)

with her camera. Their dogs always followed them, but on this occasion a California Mountain Lion

(Cougar)decided that h e wanted to stalk the dogs (you&#39;ll see the dogs in the background watching). Very,

very bad decision...



The hunter got off the mule with his rifle and decided to shoot in the air to scare away the lion, but... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ Oh, I do love mountain lions... and they get such a bad rap when people go out into their space or build their homes all over their country.  They are
predators for sure, gorgeous ones who do their job well.  Good mule for trying to protect its family, but yeah - I wish he&#39;d been interupted and the lion
had been able to go off and live his/her life maybe a little more wary than before. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ WOW!!!!!!   I&#39;ve heard people keep mules for that purpose, but I&#39;ve never seen anything like this!!!  WOW!!!!  <img height="30" src="http://www.sniksnak.com/ez/sm/shock.gif" width="30" alt="image">  I&#39;m really glad the dogs were spared but I&#39;m torn here, emotionally, because I love
big cats.   Poor mountain lion!!!
